This is our Roar of Zion Prayer to Break Chains of Addiction and Lust — a cry for deliverance from every bondage that seeks to enslave the soul. Whether the battle is with substances, pornography, lust, anger, or anything that controls you, this prayer is your declaration of freedom. Speak it boldly. Stand firm in the truth that Christ has already conquered sin, and the same power that raised Him from the dead lives in you.
—
Father in Heaven…
You are holy.
You are mighty.
You are merciful.
You are the God who breaks chains and sets captives free.
You are the Redeemer who restores what sin destroyed.
You are the Deliverer who opens prison doors that no man can shut.
And so I come before You — weary of bondage, hungry for freedom.
Not with excuses, but with honesty.
Not with pride, but with surrender.
You said, “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” (John 8 : 36)
So tonight, I take You at Your word.
I come out of hiding and into the light.
I come out of guilt and into grace.
I come out of slavery and into sonship.
—
Father, I confess my sin before You.
The lust that pollutes my thoughts.
The addictions that have held me hostage.
The cravings that have ruled me instead of Christ.
The shame that has chained me to the same cycle again and again.
I confess it all.
Every secret indulgence.
Every compromise in the shadows.
Every thought I’ve justified and every sin I’ve minimized.
You already know it, Lord — yet You still call me Yours.
Your mercy has not run dry, and Your grace has not given up on me.
So I come to You in repentance.
I lay down my idols.
I break agreement with sin.
I renounce every unclean spirit that has gained access through disobedience.
Wash me clean, Lord, in the blood of Jesus.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51 : 7)
—
Father, I renounce every spirit behind my bondage.
I renounce the spirit of lust and perversion.
I renounce the spirit of addiction and escapism.
I renounce the spirit of shame and condemnation.
I renounce every familiar spirit that has tried to claim me through generational patterns.
I cut ties with the false comforts I once ran to.
I break every ungodly soul tie formed through sin.
I revoke every invitation that gave darkness access to my life.
I declare that my body is not a playground for sin — it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6 : 19)
I am not owned by lust — I am owned by love.
I am not mastered by addiction — I am mastered by Christ.
—
Lord Jesus, I bring my weakness to Your cross.
The cravings that scream louder than reason.
The habits that have woven themselves into my daily life.
The self-hatred that follows every fall.
You took my shame.
You bore my iniquity.
You broke the power of sin once and for all.
And so I take my place at the foot of the cross.
I crucify my flesh and its passions.
I nail every addiction, every lust, every secret battle to Your cross — where it loses all authority.
I no longer belong to sin.
I no longer answer to the voice of temptation.
I no longer walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8 : 1-2)
—
Father, I invite the Holy Spirit to fill every place that sin once occupied.
Every empty space — fill it with Your presence.
Every restless longing — satisfy it with Your love.
Every broken place — heal it with Your truth.
Let the fire of Your Spirit burn away every residue of addiction.
Let Your anointing destroy every yoke of bondage. (Isaiah 10 : 27)
Let the Spirit of holiness rewrite the desires of my heart.
Give me new appetites — for purity, for righteousness, for truth.
Give me new instincts — to flee temptation and pursue godliness.
Give me new strength — to stand firm when the old cravings return.
—
Father, I break every chain in the mighty name of Jesus.
Every chain of pornography — broken.
Every chain of lust — shattered.
Every chain of alcohol, drugs, or dependency — destroyed.
Every chain of comparison, vanity, and addiction to approval — loosed.
Every chain of shame and secrecy — exposed and severed.
I speak freedom over my body.
I speak purity over my mind.
I speak self-control over my emotions.
I speak deliverance over my habits.
For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3 : 17)
And the Spirit of the Lord lives in me.
—
Father, I cancel every generational curse and stronghold tied to this bondage.
If this addiction has run through my bloodline — let it stop with me.
If lust or shame has followed generations before me — let it end here.
I stand in the gap for my family line, and I declare: The blood of Jesus breaks the curse.
I cancel every demonic inheritance passed through words, behaviors, or trauma.
I renounce the sins of my ancestors and break agreement with every spirit attached to them.
I am a new creation — the old has passed away, and all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5 : 17)
From this day forward, I claim a new spiritual lineage —
the bloodline of Christ.
—
Lord, I pray now for the renewing of my mind.
Transform my thoughts by Your truth. (Romans 12 : 2)
Rewire every pathway that sin has burned into my brain.
Replace every false pleasure with genuine peace.
Teach me to guard my eyes, my ears, and my heart.
Let Your Word be the filter through which I process every desire.
Let praise replace the music of temptation.
Let prayer replace the urge to escape.
When temptation calls, remind me who I am.
When lust whispers, remind me what it cost You.
When shame speaks, remind me that it is finished.
—
Father, raise me up as a warrior who walks in purity.
Let my story become a weapon in Your hand —
a testimony that destroys the lie that says, “You’ll never change.”
Use my scars to set others free.
Use my deliverance to deliver those still bound.
Use my restoration to rebuild what the enemy tore down.
Let my life become evidence that Jesus still breaks chains.
—
Now, Lord, I speak directly to every unclean spirit that has tormented me.
Every spirit of lust, perversion, addiction, escapism, and shame —
your time is over.
I serve you an eviction notice by the authority of the blood of Jesus.
You have no right to my mind.
You have no claim to my body.
You have no access to my soul.
I command you to leave now in the name of Jesus Christ —
the risen Son of God.
I am covered by His blood, sealed by His Spirit, and protected by His covenant.
You will not return.
You will not rebuild.
You will not whisper again.
The strong man has been bound,
and the house now belongs to the Lord. (Matthew 12 : 29)
—
Father, fill me with the Holy Spirit afresh.
Let Your presence flood every chamber of my soul.
Let Your power saturate every thought and desire.
Let Your holiness become my hunger.
Let Your joy become my strength.
When I am weak, be my strength.
When I am tempted, be my escape.
When I am weary, be my refuge.
Let me live from victory, not toward it —
for the cross has already secured my freedom.
—
Lord, I thank You.
For You have heard my cry.
You have seen my chains.
And You have broken them.
You have turned my mourning into dancing. (Psalm 30 : 11)
You have replaced my shame with joy.
You have given me beauty for ashes.
I am not who I was — I am who You say I am.
A new creation.
A son of light.
A warrior of purity.
A vessel of power.
And from this day forward, I will walk free.
I will live clean.
I will fight temptation with the sword of the Spirit.
I will guard my heart with diligence.
I will honor You with my body and my mind.
For I am Yours — wholly, completely, eternally.
—
And so, Father…
I seal this freedom in the blood of Jesus.
I stand under Your authority.
I declare that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
I belong to the King.
Every chain is broken.
Every door of bondage is closed.
Every stronghold is demolished.
Freedom is mine.
Purity is mine.
Victory is mine — in Jesus’ name.
For Yours is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory — forever and ever.
Amen.
